This item should probably not be in private hands but we didn’t steal it (honestly!) so here it is – a unique find for the collector of deeds, indentures, bonds, historical documents or any type of official old Government Paper!
We are talking about a 100% original, authentic fully issued Royal British Land Certificate that officially documented and memorialized ownership in a private parcel of land in Birkenhead, Haldane, Cairns, Selbourne, Halsbury or Westbury!!
The ancient seal of each locale appears under its arched title in a thick ornate Aubrey Beardsley style art nouveau border. The UK Land Registry Seal with Lion and Unicorn appear at the top and again on the red embossed seal. The inner 2 of 4 panels are imprinted with some 15 paragraphs of text including General Information and “Searches and Inspection of the Land”. There are 16 boxes for entries of which 3 or more contain dated circular stamps between the late 1960’s and 1970’s.
A faint “Cancelled” stamp appears alongside the date stamps without which your cataloger might be in jail lol. Nonetheless, the title number
may
remain unobliterated on back (
may
have an erasable pencil line through it; if not, it will be pen or marker).
Engraved on thick Vellum or Vellum-like Parchment paper! Total size approx. 11″ x 16″ times

The ribbon on the left is missing (sold out of ribboned ones, and
almost sold out
of ones without it). Otherwise very bright, crisp and clean with but one light horizontal fold and possibly some light surface wrinkling near the edge. NO tears, splits, holes, stains, soiling or holes besides the 3 tiny punch holes in wide margin where the ribbon is (or was). Still crisp and clean!
