This auction contains a 100 Reichsmark Austrian 4% bond issued in 1940.
The Reichsgau Salzburg (Gau Salzburg) was an administrative division of Nazi Germany in Salzburg. It existed between 1938 and 1945. This bond of 11.2 million Reichmark was issued according to the ordinance from 14. June 1940 on interest-reduction and the change of currency, and was replacing the loan of 1937. Quoted at the Vienna exchange. Print signature of NSDAP-Gauleiter Friedrich Rainer (1903-1947) as Reichsstatthalter of Salzburg. (In Yugoslavia, he was found guilty of crimes against the people and sentenced to death in 1947.)
Dimension for each bond are 12 x 8 inches (29 x 21 mm)

A note to international bidders in Central and South America, Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia:  Transit time to many countries is a minimum of 1 to 2 months.  US post does not offer reasonably-priced international tracking, so I save up the international orders and send large batches to a partner overseas. They reship using local inexpensive registered post with a tracking #.  The tracking # is uploaded to your ebay record.  Batches are sent out about once a month.  Please allow at least one to two months for your purchase to arrive.  A faster option is to pay the $15 additional US Post requires for international tracking.  Then I will ship direct.
