We bought this trash can about six years ago, moved cross country a few times, and it finally stopped working. After a bad experience with a competing brand, I just ordered a second one of these. Hopefully it’ll last at least another six years! The touch-free opening is wonderful if you bake or cook often and your hands are dirty.

We love this trashcan. Its clean, you don’t have to touch it and it senses you almost every time. It had a small dent in the can when we received it, but it was so small you could hardly notice. It does NOT come with an AC adapter which was surprising- it runs off of 4 D batteries. You can purchase the adapter separately. I don’t know how well the carbon deodorizer works, but that is not a necessity for me. I just like the convenience and cleanliness of not having to touch the trashcan. I like that there is the hoop that makes things nice and tucked in so you dont see an ugly trashbag hanging out. We have been using this trashcan for a few months now and we have not had to replace the batteries yet. The trashcan opens by motion detection and there are also buttons for open and close. The duration it is open is slightly longer when you press the button.

I really never have loved a trash can so much before. The filter it came with is perfect because it really does a great job either masking or getting rid of any odors altogether. Even when I have a particularly funky assortment of things in there, it does a great job fading out the odors into nothing.
